(Basketball News) - The Sonics posted an impressive 84-67 thumping of the Tracy McGrady-less Orlando Magic at KeyArena on Sunday night.
Ray Allen scored 22 points and grabbed seven rebounds to pace the Sonics to the victory. Vitaly Potapenko added 21 points and nine boards for the SuperSonics, who have won a season-high five straight games. Rashard Lewis had 18 points in the win.
Brent Barry had a season-high 12 assists and Reggie Evans had a game-best 10 rebounds in the win.
The SuperSonics put the game away early in the fourth quarter as they scored nine of the first 11 points, highlighted by five points from Vladimir Radmanovic, to claim a comfortable 75-58 cushion.
Seattle held a commanding 47-31 edge on the backboards and a 36-18 margin in the paint. The Sonics made 11-of-12 from the foul line (92 percent).
Seattle snapped a four-game homecourt losing streak, while finishing the sweep of the season series with Orlando. The Sonics have won nine of their last 11 home games against the Magic.
The Sonics will go for their sixth consecutive win Wednesday night against the playoff hopeful Utah Jazz.
