Seattle SuperSonics Team Report - March 27 03.27.2004
|
(Basketball News) - The Seattle SuperSonics continue their unlikely push towards the postseason this evening when they start a three-game road trip against the Portland Trail Blazers at the Rose Garden.
On Friday, Ray Allen scored a game-high 27 points to lead Seattle over Denver, 102-86, at KeyArena. Ronald Murray added 19 points off the bench for the SuperSonics, who have won seven in a row to climb their way back into the playoff race.
Thanks to their recent tear, the Sonics have moved to within three games of the eighth and final playoff spot in the West.
Seattle has won four straight on the road and is 15-20 away from home this season.
The Sonics have won two of three against the Blazers this season, but has dropped eight of the last 11 in the series. Seattle has also lost three straight, five of six and nine of their last 11 in Portland.
