(Basketball News) - The Seattle SuperSonics try to get back on the winning track tonight when they conclude their three-game road trip in Minnesota against the Timberwolves at the Target Center.
Seattle had its playoff hopes take a hit on Tuesday with a 124-119 loss to the Denver Nuggets at the Pepsi Center. Rashard Lewis netted 26 points for the Sonics, who have dropped two straight after winning seven in a row.
Ray Allen put up 24 points and Ronald Murray chipped in 18 in the losing effort for Seattle, which is now four games off the pace in the Western Conference playoff race behind the Nuggets and Utah Jazz.
The Sonics, who will be closing a three-game road trip tonight, lost for just the second time in their last six on the road last night and slipped to 15-22 away from home this season.
Minnesota has taken two of three from Seattle this season, but could be a disadvantage tonight, as the home team in this series has lost three in a row after winning the last 10 meetings.
The Sonics have also won 16 of the last 25 matchups, but are just 1-9 in its last 10 trips to the Target Center.
