Sixers activate Coleman and Jackson

03.12.2004

Philadelphia, PA (Basketball News) - The Philadelphia 76ers activated big men Derrick Coleman and Marc Jackson from the injured list on Friday and placed forwards Glenn Robinson and Amal McCaskill on the IL.

Coleman, a 14-year veteran, averaged 8.5 points and 6.1 rebounds in 30 starts this season before suffering a fractured finger against Orlando on January 23. He missed the last 22 games and has been sidelined a total of 32 contests this season due to injury.

Jackson averaged 10.3 points and 6.3 rebounds in 19 games this season, including 13 starts, before suffering a fractured left ring finger. He was acquired by the Sixers from Minnesota as part of a four-team trade in the offseason.

The Robinson move was expected, as he opted Wednesday night to have surgery on his ailing right elbow March 16. In 42 games this season, he averaged 16.6 points per outing.

McCaskill has played in 54 games for the Sixers this season, with three starts. He is averaging 2.0 points and 2.3 rebounds.
