Sixers C Hunter out indefinitely

Philadelphia, PA (Basketball News) - Philadelphia 76ers center Steven Hunter will be out indefinitely after an MRI taken on Monday revealed a broken pinkie on his left hand.

Dr. Randy Culp evaluated Hunter Tuesday morning and recommended that he undergo surgery. Hunter, though, will travel to New York for a second opinion.

Hunter is averaging 5.5 point and 4.0 rebounds for Philadelphia this season and has started the last 13 games. The six-year veteran suffered the injury in the first quarter of the Sixers’ 106-89 loss to Dallas on Sunday.
