Sixers visit McGrady and Magic

01.12.2004

Orlando, FL (Basketball News) - Allen Iverson and the Philadelphia 76ers play the second of a three-game road trip tonight when they land in Orlando to face Tracy McGrady and the Magic at the TD Waterhouse Centre.

Earlier this season, Philadelphia defeated the Magic, 95-73, on December 22, 2003 at the Wachovia Center.

Coming off a dominating win over first place New Jersey on Friday, the 76ers suffered a letdown against Washington at the MCI Center on Saturday, falling 94-87 to the Wizards.

Glenn Robinson scored 22 points to lead the Sixers, who lost for the sixth time in nine games. Iverson added 15 points and Eric Snow contributed 14 points and seven assists for Philadelphia. Iverson extended his streak to 49 straight games with at least one steal.

Philadelphia hopes to get a key player back on the court tonight, as guard Aaron McKie, who has missed the last seven games with a strained left hamstring, is expected to play tonight.

The Sixers have not scored over 100 points in their last 29 contests.

The 76ers, who have lost six of their last seven on the road, are 7-12 as the visitor this season.

The Magic registered a 103-92 win over the Wizards on Friday in front of their home crowd.

Keith Bogans notched 13 points and nine rebounds for the Magic, who snapped a six-game losing streak. Juwan Howard added 10 points and 12 boards in the win, while Lee Nailon added 11 points off the bench for Orlando.

In Friday’s win, the Magic allowed less than 100 points for just the second time in their last eight games.

Orlando, which has won three of its last four at home, is just 4-13 as the host this season.

Philadelphia has won three straight over the Magic and two of its last three at Orlando.
