Spurs activate Mercer from injured list

San Antonio, TX (Basketball News) - The San Antonio Spurs Tuesday activated guard Ron Mercer from the injured list. Mercer missed the last eight games due to left peroneal tenosynovitis.

He is averaging 8.2 points, 2.0 rebounds and 1.5 assists in six games this season. The Kentucky product has also spent time during his career with Boston, Denver, Orlando, Chicago and Indiana.

Meanwhile, the club placed Anthony Carter on the injured list with left patella tendinosis. In five games this season, Carter is averaging 4.4 points and 2.4 assists per outing.
