Spurs place Mercer on injured list

San Antonio, TX (Basketball News) - The San Antonio Spurs placed guard Ron Mercer on the injured list Saturday.

Mercer, who is hampered with left peroneal synovitis, is averaging 8.2 points, 2.0 rebounds and 1.5 assists in six games this season. The Kentucky product has also spent time during his career with Boston, Denver, Orlando, Chicago and Indiana.

Meanwhile, the team announced that guard Devin Brown has been removed from the injured list. Brown has missed the team’s first six games after being placed on the injured list on October 27 with left patella tendinitis.
