Timberwolves place Hudson on injured list

Hudson, who will miss a minimum of five games, has averaged 7.5 points and 2.4 assists in just 29 games this season. He had already missed a total of 45 games in 2003-04 with a right ankle injury.
In a related move, the Timberwolves signed free agent guard Darrick Martin for the remainder of the season. Martin, who spent several brief stints with Minnesota in 1995, is a veteran of eight NBA seasons and 399 games with five teams.
Hudson is eligible to return to the lineup April 10.
