Timberwolves visit the playoff-hopeful Warriors 04.15.2007

The Warriors and Clippers are tied for the eighth and final playoff spot in the Western Conference. They are just a half game behind the seventh-seeded Lakers, who host the SuperSonics this evening.
Golden State, which has not appeared in the playoffs since 1994, has won two in a row. Stephen Jackson scored 26 points and grabbed eight rebounds while Baron Davis tallied 25 points to lead the Warriors to an easy 125-108 victory over the Sacramento Kings on Friday at ARCO Arena.
Jason Richardson and Matt Barnes added 17 points each for the Warriors, who have won six of their last seven games overall. Monta Ellis tallied 13 points in the victory.
The Warriors are an impressive 28-11 at home this season. They will host the Dallas Mavericks on Tuesday and will wrap up their regular season on Wednesday at Portland.
Minnesota enters today’s contest on a four-game losing streak. On Friday, Manu Ginobili scored 21 points and Matt Bonner netted 18 to lead the San Antonio Spurs over the Timberwolves, 110-91, at the Target Center.
Mike James had 23 points for the Timberwolves, who finished a four-game homestand without a win. Rookie Randy Foye added 16 points, while Ricky Davis finished with 15 points and seven boards for Minnesota, which has dropped eight of its last 10 games overall.
All-Star forward Kevin Garnett (strained right quadriceps) is out indefinitely. He leads the Timberwolves in scoring (22.4 ppg) and rebounding (12.8 rpg).
The Timberwolves are 12-27 on the road this season. They will visit the Denver Nuggets on Monday at the Pepsi Center and will play their final game of the campaign against Memphis on Wednesday at the Target Center.
Minnesota and the Warriors have split a pair of games this season. The Timberwolves have lost three straight after winning their last two at Golden State.
