Toronto activates Palacio; places Williams on IL

Houston, TX (Basketball News) - The Toronto Raptors on Wednesday activated guard Milt Palacio and placed guard Alvin Williams on the injured list with a sore right knee.

Williams was hurt in a March 19 game against Chicago, and has since missed the team’s last two contests. He was activated from the injured list just two days prior to re-injuring the knee. Williams underwent surgery several weeks ago to relieve inflammation in his right knee.

The Raptors’ franchise leader in games played at 416, Williams is averaging 8.8 points and 4.0 assists in 56 games this season.

Palacio has missed Toronto’s last five games with a swollen left knee. He is expected to be in uniform when the Raptors play at Houston Wednesday.
