(Basketball News) - A battle of Eastern Conference teams with playoff dreams takes place tonight, as the Toronto Raptors welcome the streaking Cleveland Cavaliers to Air Canada Centre.
Cleveland is tied with Miami for eighth place in the conference, while the Raptors trail the Cavs and Heat by just one game.
This is the third meeting of the season between the two teams. Toronto has won the two previous contests, winning once at home and once on the road.
The Raptors have won three of the last four contests with the Cavaliers, who have lost two straight and nine of their last 10 at Toronto. These two teams have split the last six meetings.
Toronto is 15-16 at home this season.
On Tuesday, the Raptors lost to the Indiana Pacers, 94-84, at Conseco Fieldhouse. Vince Carter scored a game-high 28 points for Toronto, which has lost 12 of its last 14 games overall.
Chris Bosh contributed 19 points with eight rebounds and Donyell Marshall had 13 points and 13 boards. The newly-acquired Rod Strickland added 14 points to go along with seven rebounds and a season-high 16 assists for the Raptors, who lost for the third time in four games.
