Toronto Raptors Team Report - March 20 03.20.2004
|
(Basketball News) - Toronto is coming off a tough 96-91 loss to the Chicago Bulls at the Air Canada Centre on Friday night.
Vince Carter led the way with 30 for the Raptors, losers of five straight in the head-to-head series. Ex-Bull Jalen Rose, involved in the Antonio Davis trade, added 24 points and six assists in the loss.
Donyell Marshall, averaging over 15 points a game on the season, was held to just four points and one field goal on the night. Raptors center Chris Bosh recorded nine points and 14 boards.
Raptors guard Alvin Williams, playing in just his second game since arthroscopic surgery on his right knee, apparently aggravated the injury late in the third quarter and did not return.
Toronto had a brief two-game win streak ended and failed to win three in a row for the first time since early December.
The Raptors find themselves in the 10th slot in the East now — two games behind Miami and Cleveland for the seventh spot. Toronto will try to get back on the winning track Sunday, when they battle the New Orleans Hornets along the Bayou.
