=== Toronto Raptors Team Report - March 6 ===

(Basketball News) - The Toronto Raptors fell to the New York Knicks, 109-103, on Friday at Air Canada Centre. Vince Carter scored 32 points and handed out nine assists for the Raptors, who have dropped two straight contests. Donyell Marshall chipped in 19 points and 11 rebounds and Chris Bosh netted 17 in the loss.

New York trailed by one after three quarters, but rallied to claim a 97-94 edge with just over five minutes left in the game. The Raptors did tie the game at 97 apiece, but the Knicks then used a 7-0 spurt, culminated by Allan Houston’s three-pointer, to widen the gap to 104-97 with 2:54 remaining.

The Raptors could not get any closer than five points the rest of the game.

Before Friday’s contest with the Knicks, Toronto signed veteran guard Rod Strickland for the remainder of the season.

Carter has averaged 25 points, 3.7 rebounds and 7.3 assists in his last three games.

The Raptors are off until Sunday when they host Baron Davis and the New Orleans Hornets. The teams have split a pair of games this season, as each club picked up a win on the road. Toronto and the Hornets will also play on March 21st at New Orleans.
