(Basketball News) - The Toronto Raptors were defeated by the Los Angeles Lakers, 94-79, on Wednesday at the Staples Center.
Vince Carter tallied 23 points to lead the Raptors, who have dropped two straight and three of their last four games. Morris Peterson added 16 points and Lamond Murray chipped in 15 points and seven boards.
The Raptors were outscored by the Lakers in the paint, 46-22.
The Lakers have won four straight meetings with Toronto and are 12-2 all-time against the Raptors.
Toronto fell to 0-4 on the road this season.
The Raptors are off until Friday when they finish a three-game road trip in Sacramento against the Kings.
