Toronto Raptors Team Report - November 8 11.8.2003
|
(Basketball News) - Toronto lost for the second time in the last five games, as the Raptors were defeated soundly Friday by the Washington Wizards, 86-60.
Vince Carter paced Toronto with 18 points and Jerome Williams added five points and 13 rebounds, as the Raptors suffered through a franchise-record low for points in a quarter when they scored just four points in the second.
Toronto also set a franchise mark for futility with only 23 first-half points, as the Raptors strengthened their hold on the dubious honor of lowest-scoring team in the NBA.
Toronto had defeated the Wizards earlier this season, winning 82-79 on Halloween at Air Canada Centre.
The Raptors are off until Sunday when they will host rookie sensation Carmelo Anthony and the Denver Nuggets.
