Tracy McGrady: I Don’t Need to Play in Preseason

“I don’t need to play any (preseason games),” McGrady said. “The more time I have to get in here (to the practice court) and strengthen my knee and get up and down, it’s best for me. I don’t have to play any games, but we’ll take it game by game. I don’t know how many games I’m going to play. I don’t know when I’m going to play.”

Asked if he would like to play preseason games, McGrady said, “Of course, of course. I just think for my own psyche, to get out there and build my confidence within myself. I’m still a little hesitant on my knee a little bit.”

on 10.9.2008		 the fewer games he plays, the less opportunity for injury. .
