(Basketball News) - Gordon Giricek scored a team-high 19 points, as the Utah Jazz continued its playoff push with an 89-76 victory over the New Orleans Hornets on Wednesday at the Delta Center.

Mikki Moore came off the bench to net 15 points and Carlos Arroyo added 12 in the triumph. Raja Bell chipped in with 10 for the Jazz, who regained sole possession of the eighth and final playoff spot in the Western Conference. The Jazz are a one-half game ahead of Portland and Denver.

Utah improved to 26-11 at home with Wednesday’s win.

The Jazz are off until Friday when they host Tim Duncan and the San Antonio Spurs. It will be the fourth and final meeting of the season between the two clubs. The Jazz are 0-3 against the Spurs.

Giricek has averaged 13.6 points in his last 10 games, while Arroyo has averaged 12 points and 5.2 assists in that same span.
