(Basketball News) - The Utah Jazz fell in overtime to the Houston Rockets, 107-101, Wednesday at the Toyota Center.
Utah had five double-digit scorers with Matt Harpring and Andrei Kirilenko each leading the way with 19. Aleksandar Pavlovic added 18 while Raul Lopez scored 16 for the Jazz, whose four-game winning streak was snapped.
Eric Piatkowski started and capped a 10-2 run out of the gates in overtime, hitting a three 33 seconds in and then a jumper with 1:28 left to make it 104-96. Piatkowski had five of Houston’s 13 points in overtime and finished with a season-high 13 points himself.
Utah couldn’t muster much more on offense, finishing 2-for-8 from the field in the extra period. Yao Ming’s free throw with 31 seconds left put the finishing touches on the victory for Houston.
The Jazz outscored the Rockets 34-22 in the paint.
Utah fell to 1-6 on the road.
The Jazz are off until Friday when they host the Los Angeles Clippers.
