(Basketball News) - Andrei Kirilenko scored a game-high 25 points to lead the Utah Jazz to a 96-89 victory over the Memphis Grizzlies on Saturday at the Delta Center.
Matt Harpring returned to the lineup and scored 14 points after missing Friday’s loss to Golden State due to a death in the family. DeShawn Stevenson had 13 and Raul Lopez added 12 for the Jazz, who improved to 4-2 this season despite losing future Hall of Famers Karl Malone and John Stockton this offseason.
Utah hit 22 of its 27 free throws. Kirilenko made all eight of his attempts from the line and has not yet missed this season.
The Jazz activated center Curtis Borchardt prior to the game and placed forward/center Keon Clark on the injured list. Borchardt, a 2002 first round draft pick, played in his first professional game and finished with two points and two blocks in 18 minutes. Clark will miss six-to-eight weeks after he undergoes ankle surgery next week
The Jazz are off until Monday when they start a four-game road trip in San Antonio.
