Utah’s Clark undergoes ankle surgery

11.25.2003

Salt Lake City, UT (Basketball News) - Utah Jazz forward/center Keon Clark underwent successful ankle surgery and is expected to be out six to eight weeks, and possibly nine to 12.

During the surgery, doctors removed scar tissue, a bone spur in the ankle and smoothed down other bone spur spots. There was also some arthritis in the ankle joint.

Clark is expected to have the cast and stitches removed on December 9 and will then be placed in another cast for up to two weeks.

The 28-year-old Clark has played in just two games this season and is averaging 2.0 points and 3.5 rebounds per outing.
