Warriors’ Murphy activated from injured list

Murphy had missed the last 29 games due to a deep bone bruise and stress reaction in his left ankle. He also sat out the first 21 contests of the year because of a plantar fascia tear in his right foot.

Entering Wednesday’s action, Murphy was averaging 7.5 points and 6.1 rebounds over 11 contests this season.

Meanwhile, guard Speedy Claxton was placed on the injured list with a fractured right hand.

Claxton has missed the last seven contests with the injury. He is averaging 10.5 points, 2.6 rebounds, 4.4 assists and 1.55 steals over 55 games this season, including 29 starts.
