The Nets went 3-3 on a six-game homestand before losing at Toronto on Friday. New Jersey then dropped a 90-82 decision to the Detroit Pistons on Saturday in the opener of a four-game homestand.
Nenad Krstic scored a season-high 27 points for the Nets, who have split their last four games. Jason Kidd posted 13 points, nine rebounds and eight assists. Vince Carter netted 12 points and Richard Jefferson added 11 points and a season-high eight assists in defeat.
New Jersey, which is 6-8 at home this season and one game off the lead in the Atlantic Division, will also host Cleveland and the Los Angeles Lakers.
Meanwhile, Golden State is 0-2 on a six-game road trip and 1-8 away from Oakland this season.
The Warriors suffered a 120-115 loss to the Raptors on Sunday at the Air Canada Centre. Monta Ellis dropped in 28 points for the Warriors, who have dropped two straight after winning two in a row. Baron Davis had 20 points and 11 assists in the loss.
On the injury front for Golden State, forward Troy Murphy (sore left Achilles) and guard Jason Richardson (bone bruise in left knee) are questionable for tonight’s contest. Richardson last played on December 2nd, while Murphy has missed four straight games.
Golden State will also visit Boston, Orlando and Miami on its trip.
The home team in the Golden State/New Jersey series has won 11 of the last 13 meetings. The Nets have won six of the last seven matchups, while Golden State has dropped eight in a row at Continental Airlines Arena.
