=== Washington Wizards Team Report - November 16 ===

(Basketball News) - The Wizards’ woes continued on Saturday night with a disappointing 95-71 loss to the San Antonio Spurs.

Gilbert Arenas scored 14 points to pace the Wizards, who have lost four straight games and six of their last eight overall. Juan Dixon chipped in 11 points for Washington.

The Wizards opened a 17-8 lead on Larry Hughes’ free throw midway through the first quarter and they held a 26-17 edge after one quarter.

In the second, the Spurs came storming back as they began the frame by scoring 14 of the first 18 points and took a 31-30 advantage. San Antonio outscored the Wizards 24-9 in the period and led 41-35 at halftime.

The Spurs put the game out of reach in the third as they quickly extended the lead to 56-41 on a pair of Tim Duncan free throws.

Hughes was ejected with 3:21 left in the second quarter after he rolled the ball down the floor in disagreement with a call. He was only given one technical, but was thrown out of the game. He ended with 10 points.

Washington won’t play again until Monday night in Atlanta.
