Williams lifts Bucks over Warriors

Williams, who ended just 3-of-19 from the field, had 10 points, all in the fourth quarter.

Charlie Bell led the way with 28 points for the Bucks, who won for the second time in three contests. Michael Redd added 24 points in the win, and made 13- of-17 foul shots. Ruben Patterson scored 18 for Milwaukee.

"The turning point, if there was one, was Mo executing the pick and rolls against the box and one," Bucks coach Terry Stotts said. "I don’t know what he was shooting, but he made the plays when they counted and made the big plays even though he was struggling."

Troy Murphy tallied 23 points and 11 rebounds for the Warriors, who have lost two in a row. Baron Davis had 19 points and 11 assists, while Monta Ellis also scored 19 for Golden State.

Warriors head coach Don Nelson failed in his second try to become the second coach in NBA history to reach 1,200 career wins.

"We had some costly turnovers in the end that cost us the game tonight," Nelson said. "It’s really hard to come away with the close wins when the other team gets to the line almost twice as many time as we did."

Williams hit a shot just inside the foul line to give the Bucks a 111-110 lead. Davis then missed a shot and the Bucks also missed a three at the other end, but got the ball back after the rebound was tapped to Williams.

Williams made one foul shot with 13.7 seconds left and missed the second, but Golden State couldn’t secure the rebound, with the ball going out of bounds to the Bucks.

Redd then drained two free throws with 11.9 seconds left to seal Golden State’s fate.

Andrew Bogut scored 11 for Milwaukee, while Williams ended with seven assists.

Andris Biedrins had 17 points and 12 rebounds for the Warriors, who went 10-of-31 from three-point range.

The Bucks led 27-24 after one quarter, but the game was tied at 60 at the half. The Warriors were in front, 94-89 going into the fourth.

However, Golden State had just six points in the final 8:17. They blew a 104-94 lead, as Davis jammed to give the Warriors the 10-point cushion.
