Damon Jones has appeared in just under 400 regular season games during his six-year NBA career, with New Jersey, Boston, Golden State, Dallas, Vancover, Detroit, Sacramento, Milwaukee, Miami, and Cleveland. Made his NBA debut with the Nets, logging 17 minutes, against Miami on 2/15/99. Jones game career highs include 31 points and 8 three points. Last season he finished ranked third in the league in three-point field goals (225), fourth in assists-to-turnovers ratio (3.57:1), fifth in three-point field goals attempted (521) and fifth in three-point field goal percentage (.432). In his career-high 66 starts, averaged 12.2 points, 4.6 assists and 3.0 rebounds in 32.8 minutes per game while the Heat compiled a 49-17 record. Jones’ 225 three-pointers tied him with Mitch Richmond for the ninth highest single-season total in NBA history. Was named a CBA All-Star, Newcomer of the Year and earned All-League First Team honors in 1999, leading the league in scoring average (21.7 ppg.), three-point field goals made (120) and three-point field goals attempted (336). Also collected IBA Sixth Man of the Year Award in 1997-98.
