This past season was a break out season for Erick who reached a career high in double doubles, rebounds, points, and led all NBA centers with 41 double doubles for the 2003-2004 campaign, which got him nominated for the all star ballot in 2004. Through hard work and determination Erick has become one of the most improved players in the NBA and constantly pushes himself to become a better player. He carries this work ethic over, off the court at his summer basketball camps in both his hometown of Jackson, Mississippi and this coming summer in Dallas, Texas. He tries to teach children how hard work and determination go hand in hand. He is also very active with many charitable groups in the Dallas-Ft.
