Jason Richardson Biography Jason Richardson biography Jason Richardson grew up in Saginaw Michigan, raised by his mother, Elaine Richardson-Cook, and his uncle, Brian Bowen. He was born January 20th 1981 and has been a avid sports player all his life. Up until the 8th grade when he grew out of his ice skates, he was a stellar hockey player. The following spring he attended Arthur Hill High, his local high school. He quickly became interested in basketball, playing for his school, with his friends and in his driveway whenever he could. He gradually became better and better and received a scholarship to Michigan state University.
College Averaging only 5.1 points per game, 0.6 assists per game, and 4.1 rebounds per game, the Michigan athlete looked like just another bench warmer. He finished his freshman year as a champion, as his team went all the way, but he started in only three games and played in only 37. His draft outlook was Mid Lottery Pick. Jason worked hard and played hard. He finished his second season 14.7 points per game, 2.6 assists per game, 5.9 rebounds per game and 28.7 minutes per game. Leading his team as far as the final four, Jason proved he was the team leader. He scored 486 points that season, as to the mere 189 points he had the previous season. Jason had experience and was ready to be drafted.
