WWE Moves Monday Night Raw to Staples Center

With both the NBA and the WWE having staked their claim to the Pepsi Center, Kroenke Sports Enterprises were still ostensibly no closer to revealing who would be in the building on Monday night. Thankfully, their decision was made for them today as the WWE announced that they’d be taking their act a couple of states over to the Staples Center.

While there’ll be pissed-off fans aplenty in the Mile-High City, this at least means that neither event will be cancelled or rescheduled. It also affords Vince McMahon and the suits of the WWE the opportunity to give Kroenke and co. a subtle middle finger by setting up in the home of the Nuggets’ current opponents.

Is this a victory for the NBA or should the WWE take credit for being the accommodating party in this situation? Does this mean David Stern has more influence than Vince McMahon? Just how much money do Kroenke Sports Enterprises stand to lose in the lawsuit that will inevitably ensue? Let us know what you think by dropping a comment in the box below.
