=== Carter re-signs with Timberwolves ===

Minneapolis, MN (Basketball News) - The Minnesota Timberwolves announced Friday that guard Anthony Carter has re-signed with the team. Per team policy, terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Carter is entering his seventh year in the league and averaged 2.7 points, 2.4 assists and 11.2 minutes per game in 66 contests last season with Minnesota, his first with the team.

"Anthony is a veteran point guard who has proven his ability to run a team when he’s on the court," said Timberwolves vice president of basketball operations Kevin McHale. "He excels on the defensive end of the floor and helps to solidify our backcourt."

The 6-foot-2, 195-pound guard has averaged 4.9 points, 2.1 rebounds and 3.9 assists in 317 career games with the Miami Heat, San Antonio Spurs and Timberwolves.
