NCAA Game Summary - Akron at Duquesne

Pittsburgh, PA (Basketball News) - Bubba Walther scored 15 points to lead the Akron Zips to a 77-65 victory over the Duquesne Dukes at the Palumbo Center Wednesday evening.

Jeremiah Wood contributed 11 points and seven rebounds, while Dru Joyce added 10 points and eight assists for Akron (3-1).

Bryant McAllister scored a game-high 21 points for Duquesne (1-6), while DeVario Hudson scored 12 points and managed 11 rebounds for the Dukes.

Akron received strong support from its bench which contributed 39 points.

After shooting 63.3 percent from the floor in the first half, Duquesne connected on only 23.3 percent of its field goal attempts over the final 20 minutes.
