NBA Game Summary - Washington at Miami

05.10.2005

Miami, FL (Basketball News) - Dwyane Wade scored 31 points with 15 assists, and the Miami Heat won their sixth straight playoff game with a 108-102 victory over the Washington Wizards in Game 2 of their Eastern Conference semifinal series.

Wade became the first player in franchise history to score at least 30 points with at least 15 assists in a playoff game. He ended 10-of-15 shooting for the Heat, who can take a 3-0 lead in this best-of-seven series when the teams meet for Game 3 in Washington on Thursday.

Eddie Jones added 21 points in the win, and Shaquille O’Neal had 16 points and seven rebounds in 37 minutes.

The Heat, who posted a 19-point win in Game 1 on Sunday, have won six straight playoff games for the first time in franchise history. They have never lost a postseason series after going ahead 2-0.

Antawn Jamison scored a game-high 32 points to lead the Wizards, who have lost 10 straight games to Miami — including all six this season. Gilbert Arenas added 28 points and Larry Hughes had 10 in the loss.

Washington dropped to 1-13 in its last 14 playoff games on the road.
