Bobcats’ Wallace activated off IL

Wallace, who missed seven games with bruised ribs, was averaging a career-high 11.1 points and 5.5 rebounds entering play Wednesday night.
The 22-year-old Wallace is in his fourth NBA season. He spent the first three years of his career with Sacramento.
Meanwhile, forward Theron Smith was placed on the injured list with right knee swelling.
Smith has appeared in 33 games (five starts) this season and has averaged 3.2 points and 3.5 rebounds in 15.5 minutes. This will mark Smith’s third stint on the injured list.
