Cavs continue homestand versus Bobcats

Cleveland handed Portland a loss on Friday in the opener of the homestand and recently defeated the Los Angeles Lakers by a 96-95 score on Sunday. Flip Murray made 1-of-2 free throws with 3.4 seconds left and scored 13 of his 21 points during the deciding fourth quarter at Quicken Loans Arena.

LeBron James had 29 points, eight rebounds and seven assists, while Zydrunas Ilgauskas added 25 points and seven rebounds in the win.

After Wednesday’s game versus the Bobcats, Cleveland will close out the stand versus the Boston Celtics.

The Cavs, seeded fourth in the Eastern Conference, have won four in a row at Quicken Loans Arena and own a 24-10 mark as the host this season.

Charlotte, meanwhile, just ended a four-game losing streak with Tuesday’s 108-102 win over the Orlando Magic.

Gerald Wallace poured in a game-high 27 points, while Primoz Brezec added 22 points for the Bobcats, who will hit the road for three games. Bernard Robinson chipped in 17 points and 13 rebounds, while Raymond Felton had 16 points and 13 assists.

The Bobcats have lost three in a row on the road and are 6-28 as the guest this season. They will also visit Miami and Memphis on the road swing.

Cleveland, which has won all five meetings with the Bobcats, defeated Charlotte this season by a 103-91 score on January 30th.

James scored 30 points to lead Cleveland on that day, while Zydrunas Ilgauskas added 19 points and Donyell Marshall scored 14. The Cavaliers led by 17 points at halftime and by as many as 26.
