Buckeyes’ guard Sullinger charged with DUI

Columbus, OH (Basketball News) - Ohio State Buckeyes junior guard J.J. Sullinger was charged with drunk driving.

The 22-year-old was stopped by local police in the early morning hours of September 4. He recorded a blood alcohol level of .099, which falls above the legal limit of .08 in the state of Ohio.

An arraignment is set for October 14.

Sullinger averaged just over 10 points per game last season. The former Arkansas Razorback transferred to OSU in 2002.

Ohio State kicks off its 2004-05 basketball season versus Towson as part of the Guardian Classic on November 15, held on the Bucs’ home floor in Columbus.
