(Basketball News) - The Charlotte Bobcats try to stop a four-game losing streak tonight when they visit the Indiana Pacers at Conseco Fieldhouse.
Charlotte’s latest loss came on Monday, as it was upended by the New Orleans/Oklahoma City Hornets, 107-92, at Charlotte Bobcats Arena. Gerald Wallace had 19 points, seven rebounds and a new career-high six blocked shots for the Bobcats, who have dropped eight of their last nine games.
Primoz Brezec added 18 points while rookie guard Raymond Felton posted 16 points with seven assists in the loss.
Charlotte was again without reigning Rookie of the Year Emeka Okafor (ankle), Kareem Rush (finger), Melvin Ely (ankle), Sean May (knee) and Jake Voskuhl (ankle). They are all expected to miss tonight’s tilt as well, as the Bobcats will play with 10 or fewer players for the sixth time in the past seven games.
The Bobcats, who will host Orlando on Friday, are 4-16 away from home this season.
Indiana, meanwhile, comes in on a losing note as well after falling to the New Jersey Nets, 97-92, on Monday at Continental Airlines Arena.
Austin Croshere scored 17 points with 10 rebounds, while Anthony Johnson and Fred Jones each netted 16 points as Indiana lost for the third time in its last five games.
The Pacers were without forward Jermaine O’Neal, who is expected to miss tonight’s tilt too because of a sprained ankle.
Indiana is 11-5 in its arena this season.
The Pacers have split two matchups with the Bobcats this season, but have won four of the last five overall meetings.
