Celtics sign draft pick Green

Boston, MA (Basketball News) - The Boston Celtics signed first-round draft pick Gerald Green on Sunday. Per club policy, terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Green, the 18th overall pick in last week’s NBA Draft, was a McDonald’s All- American out of Gulf Shores Academy in Houston, Texas. The 6-foot-8 forward averaged 33.0 points, 12.0 rebounds and 7.0 assists per game in his senior season.

The 19-year-old Green will play in the Reebok Vegas Summer League from July 6-15.
