Celtics sign second-rounder Reed

Boston, MA (Basketball News) - The Boston Celtics have signed second-round draft choice Justin Reed. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Reed was chosen with the 40th pick of the 2004 NBA Draft after a stellar career at Mississippi.

The 6-8 forward averaged a Southeastern Conference-leading 18.5 points and also grabbed 7.5 rebounds per game for the Rebels last season. He was named a First Team All-SEC selection.
