(Basketball News) - The Detroit Pistons ended their regular season on a losing note on Tuesday with an 87-78 setback at the hands of the Toronto Raptors at the Air Canada Centre.
Tayshaun Prince scored 21 points on 7-of-11 shooting from the field and Ben Wallace contributed 15 points for the Pistons (54-28), who ended their regular season with a loss that snapped an eight game winning streak.
Corliss Williamson registered 13 points for Detroit, which has already clinched the third seed in the Eastern Conference playoffs, which begins this weekend.
Wallace, who finished with seven rebounds, became the first player in NBA history to accumulate 1,000 rebounds, 100 steals and 100 blocks in four straight seasons.
Detroit played the game without Rasheed Wallace and Chauncey Billups, who was placed on the injured list on Tuesday. However, both players should be ready when the postseason gets underway.
Depending on how things shake out on Wednesday, the Pistons could play either New Orleans, Milwaukee, or New York in the opening round.
