Lue lifts Hawks past Heat 04.18.2006

Al Harrington scored 17 points for the Hawks, who won their second straight. Marvin Williams scored 16 points, while Joe Johnson and Lue had 15 points apiece. Josh Childress added 10 points.
Dorell Wright scored 19 points to pace the Heat, who lost their second straight. Jason Kapono scored 16 points, while Antoine Walker netted 14. Jason Williams added 13 points.
Shaquille O’Neal, Dwyane Wade and Gary Payton were on Miami’s inactive list.
Miami, the Southeast Division champions, is the second seed in the Eastern Conference.
Earl Barron hit a jumper with 1:15 left and Wayne Simien converted a free throw with 37.2 seconds remaining to tie the game for Miami at 100.
Lue drained a three with 8.3 seconds left, however, to push Atlanta to the final margin. Wright attempted a three at the buzzer, but Johnson’s defense stifled the shot.
The teams were deadlocked at 28 after the first quarter
Miami went on a 19-5 run at the start of the second quarter capped by a James Posey layup with 4:51 left to go ahead 49-37. Atlanta closed the quarter on a 14-2 run, however, ignited by a Johnson trey with 3:40 left to trail just 53-52 at halftime.
Atlanta gained that one point on its deficit in the third quarter to tie Miami at 78 heading into the final stanza.
Atlanta started the fourth quarter on an 11-2 spurt capped by a Pachulia jumper with 8:28 remaining.
The playoff-bound Miami Heat have one road game left on their regular season schedule. The Heat, who are 21-19 on the road in 2005-06, will wrap up the regular-season schedule on Wednesday at Boston.
Atlanta will close out the campaign on Wednesday at Cleveland. The Hawks are 18-23 as the host this season, but an abysmal 8-32 away from Philips Arena in 2005-06.
Game Notes
Miami coach Pat Riley was not in attendance, as he was in upstate New York with his ailing mother. Assistant coach Ron Rothstein filled in for Riley...Miami finished 3-1 against the Hawks this season and have won 13 of 15 and 17 of the last 23 matchups in the series. It also had a four-game winning streak snapped at Philips Arena.
