=== Minnesota Timberwolves Team Report - February 18 ===

(Basketball News) - The Minnesota Timberwolves continued to impress on Tuesday, as Kevin Garnett posted 32 points and 14 rebounds in a 110-95 win over the Phoenix Suns.

Sam Cassell registered 22 points and 10 assists, while Latrell Sprewell added 21 points, as Minnesota won for the fourth time in its last five games. Trenton Hassell added 10 points in the victory for the Timberwolves, who improved to 16-2 on the year when they top the 100-point mark..

Garnett has posted a double-double in 15 consecutive games and has reached double-figures in points and rebounds in all but six games this season.

The T-Wolves could also be on the verge of getting a couple of key cogs back, as Wally Szczerbiak and Michael Olowokandi are inching closer to returning. Szczerbiak has missed all season with a broken left foot, while Olowokandi has been sidelined since early December following right knee surgery.

Minnesota, at 38-15, holds a three-game edge over the San Antonio Spurs in the Midwest Division and will host the 38-13 Sacramento Kings on Thursday in a battle of the two best teams in the Western Conference.

Adding even more intrigue to this matchup of NBA heavyweights, the last four meetings between the two have been decided in overtime.

Minnesota, which is unbeaten in three games played on Thursday this season, has won 16 of its last 17 home games and is 20-6 in its arena this season.

The Timberwolves have split their two meetings with the Kings this season, but have dropped three of their last five and six of their last nine in the series. Minnesota, though, has won 10 of its last 12 at home against Sacramento.
