Nesterovic lands on IL

San Antonio, TX (Basketball News) - The San Antonio Spurs placed center Rasho Nesterovic on the injured list with a left ankle sprain, while activating forward/ center Sean Marks.

The 28-year-old Nesterovic is averaging 5.4 points and 6.7 rebounds in 42 games this season. The seven-footer is playing his second season in San Antonio after spending the first five years with the Minnesota Timberwolves.

Marks has missed all 42 games this season after being placed on the injured list on November 1 with a lower back sprain. He is expected to be in uniform for tonight’s game in Sacramento.

Marks hasn’t played in the NBA since he was a member of the Miami Heat during the 2002-03.
