=== Sacramento Kings Team Report - March 23 ===

(Basketball News) - Forward Kenny Thomas finished with 24 points and nine rebounds and sharp-shooting Peja Stojakovic contributed 23 points as the Sacramento Kings downed the Portland Trail Blazers, 112-93, on Tuesday at ARCO Arena.

Cuttino Mobley added 19 points, while Mike Bibby scored 12 and dished out 10 assists in Tuesday’s win to help Kings head coach Rick Adelman register his 700th career victory. Sacramento, which never trailed at any point of the contest, has won two of its last three and is one game in front of the Houston Rockets for fifth place in the Western Conference playoff race.

Kings center Brian Skinner missed the game against the Trail Blazers because of sprained thumbs in both hands.

Adelman has a 700-438 career record in 15 seasons. Thomas had his highest point total since coming to the Kings from the Philadelphia 76ers as part of the Chris Webber trade last month.

Sacramento will host the Dallas Mavericks on Thursday and will then visit the Denver Nuggets on Saturday at the Pepsi Center. The Kings are 0-3 against the Mavericks and 2-0 versus the Nuggets this season.

Thomas has scored in double-digits in eight straight games and has three double-doubles in that span. He is averaging 14.8 points and 7.5 rebounds in his last 10 contests.

Stojakovic has scored in double-digits in six straight games and is averaging 21.2 points in that span. He has played 40 or more minutes in all six of those contests.
