Krstic’s procedure was performed at the Hospital for Special Surgery in Manhattan and he will begin rehab immediately. The Nets expect Krstic, who will miss the remainder of this season, to be ready for next season’s training camp.
Krstic tore the ACL in his left knee while attempting a spin move during the third quarter. He immediately dropped to the court, and didn’t put any weight on the injured knee when helped to the locker room.
Starting all 26 games this season, Krstic was averaging 16.4 points and 6.8 rebounds per contest before the injury. He was shooting over 50 percent from the floor (52.6), and had five double-doubles on the campaign.
During three seasons in the league, Krstic is averaging 12.4 points and 6.0 rebounds per game in 181 contests.
