(Basketball News) - The struggling Sacramento Kings play the middle contest of a three-game road trip tonight, as they visit the Dallas Mavericks at American Airlines Center.
Sacramento holds a slim one-game lead over the Los Angeles Lakers for the top spot on the Pacific Division. The Kings are also just one game ahead of the Midwest Division-leading Minnesota Timberwolves for the No. 1 seed in the Western Conference.
This will be the fourth and final meeting of the season between the two squads. The teams split a pair of games at ARCO Arena, while the Mavs beat the Kings, 108-99, on January 25th at Dallas.
On Wednesday, Sacramento fell to the San Antonio Spurs, 107-89, at the SBC Center. Peja Stojakovic scored 19 points for the Kings, who have dropped three of their last four contests. Doug Christie netted 17 points and Chris Webber, Vlade Divac and Mike Bibby all contributed 14 in the setback.
The Kings are 20-16 on the road this season.
