Divac spent the first seven years of his career with Los Angeles. After playing last six seasons with Sacramento, Divac re-signed with the Lakers in the offseason, but his return has been delayed by a herniated disk in his lower back.
The 36-year-old big man was dealt from the Lakers to Charlotte for the draft rights to Kobe Bryant in 1996.
Divac has averages of 11.9 points, 8.3 rebounds and 3.1 assists over his 13- year career.
The Lakers also activated forward Jumaine Jones from the injured list and placed Brian Grant and Sasha Vujacic on the injured list.
Jones missed six games with a strained calf muscle while Grant has tendinitis in his right knee and Vujacic has a sprained ankle.
