Ben Wallace and Kirilenko earn Player of the Week honors 03.1.2004

Wallace helped the Pistons to a 4-0 record last week by averaging 12.3 points, 12.3 rebounds, 3.75 blocks and 2.0 steals per game. He recorded double-doubles in three of the four contests.
He scored 12 points, pulled down 13 rebounds and blocked six shots in a win over Philadelphia on February 23. Four days later, he collected 11 points, 15 boards, five blocks and two steals in a triumph over Atlanta. Wallace then completed his stellar week with a 13-point, 13-rebound effort against the Clippers on Sunday.
Kirilenko averaged 25.0 points, 10.7 rebounds, 3.00 blocks and 1.67 steals per game last week, as the Jazz posted a 3-0 record.
He netted 27 points and handed out 10 assists in a victory over Seattle on February 24 and later capped his week by contributing 24 points and 14 rebounds in a win over Sacramento on February 27.
Other candidates for Eastern and Western Conference Players of the Week were Boston’s Mark Blount, Cleveland’s Carlos Boozer, Zydrunas Ilgauskas, LeBron James and Jeff McInnis, Dallas’ Michael Finley, Minnesota’s Kevin Garnett, Phoenix’s Amare Stoudemire and Sacramento’s Mike Bibby.
