Pistons ink forward Dupree

Auburn Hills, MI (Basketball News) - The Detroit Pistons on Wednesday signed forward Ronald Dupree to a multi-year contract. As per club policy, terms of the contract were not disclosed.

"We are excited to add Ronald Dupree to our roster for the upcoming season," said Detroit Pistons President of Basketball Operations Joe Dumars. "Ron impressed us with his work ethic and tenacity during training camp last year and we monitored his progress closely with the Bulls during the regular season. He’s another player that fits the Pistons profile and will give us added depth and versatility at the forward position."

Dupree, spent the 2003-04 season with the Huntsville Flight in the National Basketball Development League. He then signed for the reminder of the season with the Chicago Bulls on January 28, appearing in 47 of the Bulls final 48 games, averaging 6.2 points and 3.6 boards in 19.0 minutes of play.
