Rockets sign free agent guards Sura and Ward

Sura split time last season with Detroit and Atlanta and averaged 7.5 points, 4.1 rebounds and 2.9 assists over 80 games. He was obtained by the Hawks from the Pistons in the trade that sent Rasheed Wallace to Detroit.

Ward averaged six points and three rebounds over a combined 71 games for the New York Knicks and San Antonio Spurs in 2003-04. New York traded Ward to Phoenix in the Stephon Marbury trade, but he was waived by the Suns and finished the season with San Antonio.
