Seattle, WA (Basketball News) - The Seattle Storm announced Friday that they have come to terms with guard Betty Lennox on a multi-year contract. The terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Lennox, the sixth-overall pick in the 2000 WNBA draft, led the Storm to the 2004 WNBA title, as they defeated the Connecticut Sun in three games. She was named MVP as she led Seattle with a 22.3 points per game scoring average for the series.
Last season the 5-8 guard averaged 12.4 PPG, good for second on the team.
"Betty played a pivotal role in our playoff runs over the past two seasons and I look forward to her performance this season as a key member of the Storm roster," said head coach Ann Donovan. "Her return to Seattle is critical for us as we look to stay among the WNBAs elite."
